CACHE is the UK’s only specialist awarding body to design courses and qualifications in the care and education of children and young people.

The project began with sourcing the building and providing a full space analysis and consultancy for CACHE’s accommodation requirements over the next 5 years. Then alongside CACHE’s project team a complete design package was produced. Once the final designs had been approved the works commenced on site and were fully procured and managed by the Workspace Interiors project management team. The project was completed in 8 weeks to enable CACHE to move in prior to its busy season.

A unique feature of this project is the rainwater harvesting system supplying the washroom facilities, which is not only environmentally friendly saving 10,000 liters of water a week but will pay for itself within 3 years, thereafter providing CACHE with “free” water.

“Everything always went to plan and the attitude of your team and contractors was exemplary. We are particularly pleased with your suggestion to install the rainwater harvesting system. In the four weeks since we moved in, I believe we have saved approximately 40,000 litres of fresh mains water simply by using the rainwater collected from our roof and using it for our toilets.”
